Currently sat in Burnham On Crouch station waiting for my train(s) back to Taunton.
I was expecting to be collecting my Disco 4 after the engine was rebuilt, but on arriving there is some damage that wasn’t there before.
1. One of the spotlight pillars on the bumper has broken and someone has added a cable tie to sort of hold it in place, which it doesn’t. This could have just rusted through, not the fault of the garage, but they could have removed it and/or let me know because I don’t have tools to do it and if it swings about it could cause more damage
2. The front passenger door handle is broken
3. The main engine cover is missing, and the smaller one on the drivers side is broken.

Obviously nobody is around to speak to so my only option is to train it back home and “speak” to them tomorrow.

Any suggestions?

Another thing I noticed is that some of the wheel arches and trims seem to be coming away slightly, like some of the clips are broken.
I would expect some clips to break if you remove those, but (1) I would replace the broken ones and (2) would these need to be removed? I guess maybe if the body was taken off.
These are small points that I could take care of, as are the other issues to be fair, but having paid out for a rebuild that ended up costing more than buying another car I would expect better.

Wheel arch trims have to come off to remove body.
Tbh if they cannot do what you can see, what about what cannot be seen?

I had an email yesterday morning saying the manager would be in contact, but nothing since.
I'm starting to wonder if they're even bothered about my concerns.
How long do I leave it before getting legal?

The sooner the better, or withhold some of the money for the shoddy workmanship.

Get the car back asap, plenty of stories of cars having refurbed/replacement engines, and the work not being done or the cars go missing.

One guy on another forum said if the quote is quite a bit cheaper than all the others, run.
