Hi All, seeking some advice… was driving along the other day and three amogos popped up along with the red brake light all at once. Got home and found a dogey wheel bearing on the front left, I have since replaced that wheel bearing. However after a lengthy test drive to check my work, all the lights still remain on the dash!! Very annoying, any ideas? D2 Td5 2003

Needs a diagnostic, sadly.

Welcome to the forum.
You may like to pop over to the "introduce yourself" section.

Looks like I’ll be stopping by the local lr garage after work tomorrow…
If you do your own work on your car, you will need to buy a diagnostic tool for it, two or three diags in a garage will be the same cost as buying one of the less expensive.

I was thinking that, I only use garages for involved brake system work. I’ve been trying to avoid the £500 ish for a nanocom but it seems inevitable

You can get a Foxwell 530 for £164, from their own site, a good tool. Admittedly not a nanocom, but still...
Beware knock-offs.
I have an older version and it paid for itself some time back.

I took a 3 amigos problem to a local, biggish Indy. They diagnosed a dodgy bearing, left rear, turned out to be right rear, after I'd swopped the left one out. I was furious. Bought the Foxwell straightaway. It successfully diagnoses 3 amigos problems.

The addition of the red brake light to the 3 amigos is a bit strange, to me anyway.
I'll tag @sierrafery cos he's the lad when it comes to electronix!!

Has puzzled me too, I have got a broken brake fluid float plug but it has been like that for 6 months+, it’s bizarre how it came on with the amigos.

I have recently had all new flexi brake lines put on, however as far as I’m aware the brake warning light is only related to the handbrake and brake float.

Hmm that sounds like a better idea, I’ll drive with the issue for a couple days until it annoys me enough to buy one!

Son had 3 Amigos which we fixed doing the shuttle valve mod. Strangely it turned into 4 Amigos once, I hadn't plugged a cable in near the ABS pump!
We have Foxwell and it diagnosed the above fault and MAF sensor using live data.

I too did the shuttle valve mod, (I think, if you mean the biz under the ABS block under the bonnet, on top of the nearside wheel arch) once nothing else made sense! Under the tutelage of @sierrafery.
Not difficult, just fiddly, getting the bit off and then back on again.

Yes thats the thing, bit stressful thinking what if it went wrong but it all went OK.

I didn't loosen any of the pipework so I reckoned the worse it could be would have been as bad as it had been! But it was a right pain getting the three bolts out and back in. Mirror on a stick and blocks of wood, to enable access. Until I put together a pair of tools. I mentioned how to do it in a thread, with pics, cos they really are a pain.
Dunno where the thread is now!

Sorry to be ignorant to this particular Td5 issue, what does the shutter valve job fix?

This should possibly be in a new thread but since you raised it here what is so special about the Nanacom? What, for example, can a Nanocom do that a Foxwell NT530+ or a iCarSoft LR V2.0 can't. Links below for reference:

Nanocom is from a different league, it can do more complex programming with the BCU than Foxwell or Icarsoft and these are not reliable at all when it comes to Td5 engine management(i learned that the hard way), they are usefull for the other systems, OK with ABS but with less functions.

Looks like a nanocom will be coming my way as I plan on keeping this a long time. Better to be safe and get the better tool
