Hi all!

I'm trying to find one of these for the kv6. The fellow who makes them is on the MG/Rover board- he goes by 'Kaiser', and lives in South Africa- but they won't let me join in order to contact him.

Would someone here be able to share his contact information, or know of some other way of obtaining a metal thermostat housing for the kv6?

The Rover 75&ZT forum is the place he hangs out I believe. I've seen and fitted one but sadly not to my car. They look well made and do reduce the running temperature by some margin. I might see if I can contact him as I'm sure he could sell a few to Kv6 powered Freelander owners.

I just got a metal housing thermostat from Guido. It looks well made. He can be reached at willdo _atsign_ icon.co.za

I will be installing it in the coming summer.

Duh - that is Kaiser!
Details as follows:

Yes, Danish Kroner 1160 (10 weeks by mail), Danish Kroner 1360 (2 weeks by air mail). Payment by cash in an envelope, then take the 60 Kroner off in both cases, or payment by Paypal to the address above, Kaj Pedersen, in Denmark.
I will ship from South Africa, usually within a couple of days after payment, and the times quoted for transport are typical, but can vary slightly, and are for Europe and the UK.

If you are somewhere else, the price should still be valid, but should be confirmed.
