hi could anyone tell me if it would be ok to put a new alternator with a bigger pulley on my 90, its the same alternator exept for the pulley size..

can't you swap the pulley with the old one ?

unless it isn't ment for your vehicle- in which case it may not charge at tick over, if it charges okay at tick over and belt fits=no issue.

engine running turn lights,fan and heated screen on etc and check battery voltage with meter.

no
swap the pulley.

^ have to agree. with bigger pulley alternator will be spinning slower,less output.
