Hi,

Now as I have A 5 door Td4 the roof bars are about 40cm away from the rear of the car... I would like to fit a work light but if I just for it to the roof bars then it will be too far away and the light will be shadowed by the back of the car.

So my solution was to fit the lamp to a 'swivel arm' sort of thing that will 1. Make it closer to rear of car and 2. Allow me to raise the light and point it in any direction,

The problem is the only place I can see that makes what I want is Ram and they are quite pricey....

Does anyone know of a cheaper alternative to this? http://bit.ly/19N5hNJ
With out the suction cup

why not fit it to the rear door?

Or
If your rear door is normally open when working at the rear, fit it inside - its more secure that way?

Just get a bracket to fit to the back of your roof rack and then make an extension bar to go between that and your light with some security bolts so it can't just be unbolted by a tea-leaf

That's an idea, would like it on the outside but would like to avoid drilling in to body work as much as possible ( I have a reputation for leaky cars)

I was thinking that as well! Not sure if it's been done before!
