I'm after some help I've got 2003 td5 with a genuine LR alpine head unit an cd changer
With the ignition off if I put the audio unit on it will play CDs via the changer but as soon as turn the ignition to p1 or 2 the displace goes to cd zeros an won't play anything I've swooped the cassette an still plays u. just wondering if there is anything some one has come across before I start replacing parts

My changer has power and I can eject and insert the case, with CDs. But, the head unit says no CDs.

Like my rear step, I'm thinking I'll pull it out to save weight and one less thing to go wrong.

I bought one of those tape deck to iPod interfaces of Amazon for about £5 and dug out an old 32gb iPod. Now I have about 300 albums instead of 6 and I use the cup holder to "rest" the iPod in. And, I'm totally impressed with quality of my £5 gadget - amazing.

Of course, this is of no use if your tape deck is fubar.

Another little trick I have is plug an AirStream in to this and I then have Apple AirPlay in the truck!
