Hi,

Does anyone know what sort of wheel nuts would fit this kind of rim? The regular alloy rim nuts seem a bit wide. Would these fit: https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/165049835364 . They do seem a bit narrower. The car in question is 2002 Td5 110.

Many thanks,

Are those landrover wheels ?
I don't recognise them ..

Also you are a bit subjective, the nuts 'seem' a bit wide and the (eBay variety) 'seem' to be a bit narrower really doesn't give us much to go on.
Also I think the alloy nuts are flat on the bottom (?) unlike the steel wheel nuts that are connical.

No idea on those rims. Maybe find out the make and check with them.

It is important to get it right. Steel Land Rover rims are nut centric. The nuts centre the rim on the hub and ensure it runs true and isn’t fitted off centre. The centre bore is generally bigger than the hub. But factory alloy wheels are hub centric, meaning the centre bore is a tight fit on the hub to centre the rim. The wheel nuts for the factory alloys are only there to hold the wheel on, unlike the steel rims.

So you need to know if this rim is hub centric or nut centric to make a decision on which wheel nuts to use.

That's odd, I have two kinds, one that is flat, and one that is conical. The flat ones won't even catch on the thread. The conical ones do, but I don't feel like they are right.

I am subjective I must admit, as it isn't my car or my rims, just helping a family member and I don't know for sure which are the correct wheel nuts. I would just assume the correct ones wouldn't be scratching the rim and the washer would touch down on the rim.

I found this picture of an old add online. They are advertised as rims for Land Rovers. From the picture they don't look like they are sporting the usual 27mm wheel nuts,

If anyone happens to have these rims, maybe they could help. I can also look on the back for a manufacturer marking.

What are they fitted to is also worth looking at as most alloys in the land rover stable are not weight rated for a 110. But I also do not recognise them at all, cannot imiidatly find anything looking like them on a quick google which is ususally a little concerning in this day and age! certainly try and find some markings, serial numbers, make, size etc.
