I click fob it makes noise as if it’s locking but the internal lock buttons jump back up and then alarm goes off . Drives ok no lights on… tried putting key in to lock but won’t turn… tried unlocking locking x3. any advice greatful thanks in advance not sure if there’s a quick fix so I can lock car with alarm working

Locks are frozen

Try a hairdryer to thaw them out and make sure the door handle button isn't stuck in, as this can cause the fault you describe

Defender 90 but sorted now it’s defrosted

Great .... yes the frosting up thing is a pain.
I park mine really close to the hedge, it's a pain to get in and out of but it doesn't freeze up on that side. I used to shut an old sheet in the passenger door, across the windscreen and into the drivers door, that works too.
