Hi Guys,
I have a Defender 90 TD5 2003 plate with factory alarm & immobilizer. Unfortunately someone tried to nick it on Sunday and I am trying to repair the damage...
I have found the following damage:
They wedged a screwdriver/knife in the gap between the drivers door and the doorhandle/lock and it looks like they tried to prise it off (they failed, but caused cosmetic damage, not sure if mechanism is damaged in any way).
They also ripped off the driver side indicator and shorted the wire (the small side indicator one).
I have replaced the indicator and fuse for that circuit so it is working again, but I am not sure if the shorting has buggered something else up.
Problem is as follows:
The hazards do not flash when I lock the car with the remote (pretty sure they used to flash at least once).
When i press unlock on the remote then the hazards again do not flash, but the alarm sounds for about 2-3 seconds.
Anyone got any ideas?
thanks
