Amongst other issues the alarm receiver unit on my TD5 has packed up. I believe the unit is located somewhere in the roof lining. I have no Sunroofs so its going to be a bu**er to get out.
Can anyone give me a clue on the cost of replacing it or/and how to go about it without recking the roof lining. Thanks

Don't know about cost, but helped a mate replace his this is how we did it
1- Release rear door upper trim finisher
2- Remove 3 Torx Bolts securing rear headrest, remove headrest, then repeat other side
3- Fold rear seat forward
4- remove tail door aperture upper trim casing
5- release caps from end of Grab Handle
6- remove 2 bolts securing Grab Handle to body
7- remove grab handleand collect the spacers
8- remove 8 trim clips securing trim casing to body
9- remove the seat bet esctcheon for the dixie seats
10 remove cap from lower anchorage of third seat belt
11 remove lower anchorage bolt
12 release rear interior lights
13 realease 2 studs securing rear headlining, and carfully lower

F**k me it's less work to remove engine and dog boxes.

I dropped the headlining out of my old Disco Td5 - what an absolute bastard of a job!!

It is doable on your own though, and again Haynes lied and said I'd likely damage it. Just keep your temper - I came close to just ripping it out on more than one occasion.
