Help! Alarm just set off on Disco series 2,pushing buttons on key fob did nothing and it was waking all the nieghbours-had to disconnect battery.
when I connected it again it all kicked off again. Can I immobolise alarm system and still use the car?

Very much depends on your alarms perimetric / volumetric(and others too) initial settings. Anyway if u've disconnected the battery after u reconnect it when u want to arm/disarm the alarm make sure that all doors and bonnet are closed.

The simple things to do first:
1. replace the fobs battery
2. try to arm it and disarm it again with the fob
3. turn on the ignition

The final repair can be done only with scanner, first to see the reason then to reprogramme it.......if u plug it in choose the simplest settings....they are described in RAVE.
