Guys
I've got a 2002 Freelander 1 3 door.
When the weather gets hot, like we have at the moment, the alarm goes off. Now I've read through the comments about lock the door with a key to disable the volumetric sensor, but due a problem with the remote locking, I've only ever used the key.

Now when I was driving along the other day, I noticed the door warning light on. I stopped and checked all the doors and noticed, when I'd put my shopping in the back, the window had dropped, like it should, but hadn't gone back up when I shut the door.

I tried the switch inside and it would happily go down, but not up! I got home and checked around everything I could find and, eventually, I could get it to go up with the switch (dont know how!) and then it opened and closed with the door as it should.

But I still get it occasionally, where the window wont go back up when I close the door for a while, and then just works.

Any ideas

Thanks in advance
Ian

I think the window mechanism is about to fail. Take the door card off now before it fails as you will never be able to remove it once it has. Also start looking for threads on how to deal with the problem.

If the rear door glass isn't going all the way up and the door open warning is lit, then it's likely the rear door open sensor has failed. So the CCU thinks the door is still open, and isn't driving the window right up. It'll also trigger the alarm because it thinks a door is still open somewhere.
