Hi guys right got a a slight problem. Parked car up and locked it as usual went back to it the next day unlocked it with key fob buttons and indicators didn't flash as usual thought it strange then noticed that none of the interior lights go off at all no matter what I do. I've pulled all the interior light bulbs out to save the battery going flat but puzzled as to why they don't go off and why alarm and immobiliser doesn't work. Everything else works fine. It's a 2001 4.0. Has anyone ever come across this problem. Thanks in advance for any help on this

Probably something to do with a door latch microswitch, does it think a door is open all the time? Any warnings?

Watch the dash display when you lock it. There might be a "mislock" message on the display. There is also a mislock beep, but this setting can be changed in BECM using Nanocom, etc.

Mine was doing exactly this a few weeks ago. Turned out to be the small fly-out part on the lock motor was stuck, so the door was only 75% locked. Microswitches were perfectly ok. Cleaned up the motor & attached parts, and problem solved.

No it doesnt do the mislock beep at all just had a listen to it lock and unlock and the rear drivers door seems to twang like a spring when the button goes down
