Hi. I'm getting the bits together to put the cruise control onto my 03 D2 TD5 after searching on this extremely helpful forum about how to go about it. I've taken steering wheels off before and am familiar with safety precautions regarding airbags. Problem is I don't have the radio code so is it possible to pull the airbag fuse and wait for the system to clear or is that not enough? I'm planning on changing the radio in the future once I've worked out I need to keep the steering wheel controls but not just at the moment.

Hi, I din't take the steering wheel off when I did mine,was just careful cutting the hole. Did disconnect my battery though.

The local Land Rover main stealer will have the code for your radio on their files, if it is the original factory fitted unit.
They will provide it for free, all you need to produce is proof of ownership and VIN or registration number.
Then you can disconnect the battery to your heart's content.

Excellent! Think I'll wait until the V5 comes through and take that along. Makes a lot of things so much easier with something like that sorted. Many thanks!

While you're getting the radio code, don't forget to ask them for the EKA (emergency key access) code at the same time. You might need it if the fob ever goes tits-up.
