I have a td5 which is really nice, however I had a leaking airspring so I replaced them both with parts from Paddocks.
Replacement was really easy and before long the vehicle was behaving itself with no air loss whatsoever.
Now about a week ago I came back to the vehicle and the dreaded lower one side scenario had reared its head once again.
I investigated the problem and low and behold one of the airsprings had a pin hole in it .....arghhh
It seems to have chaffed on the inner part of the chassis......no idea what could have caused this but its happened.
Question is this, Iam sellling the vehicle in the next month or so, do I replace the airspring?...or convert to coils?.....one airspring costs more than the coil conversion kit from paddocks.
Is the vehicle more desirable without the conversion?.i.e with the air suspension.
I understand i have to have the air system deactivated too, what is the cost?
Will the ACE be affected with coils?
I shall purchase the bits tomorrow so some informed opinions will be greatly appreciated.
thanks guys and gals
