Hi all,

Recently (a couple of months) I swapped out the airbags and put new sensors on. Everything was fine, but just recently the car sags on nearside rear over night. It raises fine when I start up and wait for a minute. Can't believe it's the bags or sensors, pretty sure the compressor is good. Anything else?????

Also recent failures include the central locking, only opens passenger door and offside rear, even the boot has stopped unlocking. Is there a common theme?

Finally I have a real leak issue in the roof, so is it possible that water damage is to blame for all this??????

Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Thanks

O

Hi Ovinjo, sorry to hear your D2 is sinking. You need to check all the pipe connections, especialy the ones in to the bags. If they haven't pushed in properly they may be leaking. There is a definite final 'click' movement as they locate.
As to locks and water - the central locking actuator is above the roof lining between the sunroofs. If this gets damp it can cause intermitent problems so could be the issue. Leaks can be from 3 possible areas. Sunroofs - common problem - do a search. Roof rails or windscreen seal. There are lots of threads about these so have a look and then you need to eliminate each area to get to the cause.
Hope that helps.
Paul.

If u are sure it's not the bag then it must be the N/s air supply valve which doesnt close enough or leaks itself.... prepare the soapy water and dont miss the bag area too

Thanks guys.

Will try the pipes tonight if I get a chance.

Great shout on the central locking, massive downpour last weekend when the car was on a slope - that's when the boot went.

Dumb question but I guess the access to accentuator is to take the roof lining out?????

Thanks

Actually it's a RF receiver on the roof which if makes tricks will affect the whole central locking/alarm system. My guess is that the unlocking thing is rather electrical(wiring/contact) or simply mechanical(door lock actuator) issue.

take the lid off the compressor and you will see a row of 3 valves with pipe work & electrics coming out of them.
Spray soapy water over the valves and if you see bubbles coming out of what looks like the electrics plug even if its slow bubbles that is your problem the valves are u/s and you cannot buy them seperate.
Its new compressor im afraid hope this helps
