So I’ve got a 2005 RR Vogue and I stupidly didn’t shut a door when I left the car in the garage and totally killed the (reasonably old) battery. I’ve since fitted a brand new battery and everything is back up and running but I now get a message saying that the HDC and air suspension are inactive and I’ve got an orange handbrake light and ABS light.

I’ve seen on the forum that sometimes after a dead battery you need to reset the suspension by turning left lock for 3 seconds then right lock for three, but this hasn’t solved it. I had a look with an ODB2 scanner I have and I cleared the only code which was a sensor (unrelated I think).

The alternator is charging the battery (14.4v when the engine is running) but is it worth me trickle charging overnight to see if that settles the issues? Or do I need a more specialised diagnostic tool like the IID?

Any ideas welcome thank you!

You should have fully charged the battery before fitting, but that is not your problem. If lock to lock doesn't fix it, than I think you need diagnostics.
