If anyone is near Lichfield Staffs and needs their air con serviced call and see Chris.
He checked for leaks, then emptied and cleaned out the system, then refilled with gas and oil, then checked if everything worked ok, and checked the temperature, I even had a free can of cold orange tango. Total cost believe it or not was £45 for everything he did. Needless to say the air con works better than it ever has.

shame its not a bit closer for me, finally someone that does a bit more than a leak check and top up

I Daren't be so optimistic! Don't know it the compressor works!
I've printed out all the pages from the manual though.. just need to make some brackets to hang the condenser on and I'm good to go

Go for it. I've had to pop out today and a working aircon is a bliss
