Just read the post on heating, so I thought I'd ask about air conditioning.

Do any of the esteemed readership have any hints or tips for enhancing the standard air conditioning. I've a 110 and in the middle of summer herabouts (Oman), when it's in the mid-40's, the AC struggles to cool the car (obvious really).

One thing I've done to give the AC a fighting chance is fit IR and UV blocking film on the windows. Not cheap, but it helps, and the AC can keep the front passengers cool, but I've put a thermometer on my dog cage and that reads in excess of 35 when the front is cool on a summer day. I've fitted fans in the back for the dog, so he's OK, but the rear seats are cooking!

I've heard of additional AC units that can be bought for the rear, but not had much succes hunting them down on the web. Any body any help?

I have thought about this problem as I am hoping to take all my landys to Canada when I emmigrate. What I was considering doing is to put some type of insulation above the headlining to reflect the heat, you could also put this behind trim etc. I can't see a reason why this would not work, and it would not be very expensive if it didn't.
