Hello all...I'm new here (check out my "hello" in the intro's page)
So I've got a TD5 Disco 2 runout model.....had/have got an air con issue and I'm reading conflicting information.
Basically, the air con compressor when pop, so have replaced it. Air con man came to regas and spotted that the condenser fan was seized. He says it's probably unwise to use the air con until I get it replaced as the system will over pressurise. I've also read that the main reason they seize is cos they're never used in the Uk unless we hit 28 degrees and road speed is less than 50mph.
I've taken the fan off an it is indeed a little bit stiff (read proper buggered)
So I have two questions.....
1.....where do I get a new fan without spending £250 ?
2.....can the air con be used while I'm finding a new fan (ie is air con man right or are the 28 degree/50mph guys right)
Many thanks in advance...hope my waffle makes sense
Cheers
Steve
