4.6 Thor motor.

Just noticed on the leading edge of air box where the hinges are I can just see the edge of my air filter. It looks like the box lid has distorted over the years. Is this common?

As you are the only one as far as i know who has ever mentioned it, i would say no it's not common. Or maybe the rest that have noticed it don't give a ****.

Same thing on my DSE and I believe the boxes are the same? If it's like mine you're seeing the top of the filter, so it's no big deal.

Mine too
It squashes the rubber bit of the filter causing it to squeeze out a little still gets an air tight seal
