Had my hse td4 auto from new and couldnt wait for one with cruise control to be made so took one they had (probably sitting in a field). New car endorphines i suppose!
Anyway, everyone I've spoke to since said artermarket fitment is non-economic (sensor in g'box, steering wheel etc.)
Has anyone attempted/achieved this? what are the costs/pitfalls?
While i'm on, I'm a newbie so apologies if this is well trodden ground!

trodden ground it is.
being an auto, it may just be as easy as getting the cruise switch, the cruse ECU and getting it enabled by LR in the main ECU. it should be that easy.

as for aftermarket, have a look at the conrad anderson website, the kit taps into the brake switch, and engine speed signal meaning no sensors need to be fitted prop. the harnis also plugs into throttle sensor so no vacume pumps needed, just all electronic.
