as some of you are awre im currently re wiring my disco and creating a new centre console..

Iv had a thought about my speedo dials, could i get an after market speedo and reqwire it to the existing transducer thing on the gear/transfer box?

basically my dials are not needed apart from rev and speedo as everythign else will be on 52mm dials so just toying with idea of swapping it out and creating a new dash there aswell

Yes.
The original basic pickups supplied are just a reed switch and a magnet so all you need is an on off signal.
