Do any of you know if it's a simple retrofit to put the AFS lights in a non AFS car? I need to put new lenses on my lights as they are starting to look a bit ropey and I did it on my last one which just made it look so much better. It's a ball-ache as the 2010> cars don't have the butyl sealant that you can heat and release, you have to cut them apart etc. I know what I'm getting into here.
Anyway, I may have an option to buy some AFS lamps from allow mileage Autobiography which look to be in pristine condition so I'm considering just doing that and swapping the units over. If I can simply code AFS into my car then I'm happy to do it but I wonder if I might need a new LCM etc. and if I do then that's another lot of effort to ensure I get the right one and revision etc. And, are things like the mileage stored in the LCM? I have a recollection that it is on BMWs so it wouldn't be a stretch to imagine that it could be on my car too.
