Last sunday the disco was working fine, then on monday she would not start, I checked the ignition coil lead and found it had corroeded, replaced it and still would not start, i have now replaced all leads, disi cap and the coil it self and still it wont start.

There is a spark from all the leads, my only other thought was that maybe the immoboliser is causing the problem, the flashing light stops flashing when the key in inserted into the ignition, so to me this means its switched off and should start.
The engine turns over but will not fire, can anyone give me some pointers to look for?

Thanks

hi if the engine cranks and its got a spark i dought its getting immobilised as thats the 2 circuits that would go down,a main fault on v8s is the immobilisor not giving the full 12v to the ignition coil easy way to test this if no multimeter is get a piece of wire and run it straight from the battery to the coil and then see if it fires up,when this has happend in the past i have checked coil and great 12v with ignition on then when you crank power goes down to 6v which is not enough so hence the jumper cable, also check you have enough fuel getting to the plugs and petrol pump running, hope this helps tiga
