I guess this one has been covered somewhere but I have struggled to find the answer I'm looking for.
2003 td4 manual 116000miles history unknown I did the vcu test with good results how ever when I reverse or creep forward on full lock it feels like the brakes are binding, I have checked the brakes there are all good no binding there. I have suspected the prop bearings were on there way out for some time but today popped out and heard a bearing noise being an mechanical engineer I know the noise means no good, so later today stripped the prop off and sure enough the rear prop bearing in us. I took the car out what a difference no binding on full lock. my question is with a good vcu would expect there to be some resistance on full lock or as I suspect is the vcu on its way out.
Are the recon vcu's from bell engineering any good?
cheers for your thoughts on this one guys.
