Hi

I'm looking at a 1972 Series III that seems reasonably tidy. I've not seen the car in the flesh yet, just pictures.

I'm looking to use it off road instead of my TD5 Disco.

What should I be looking for in a good Series III and what should I be watching for?

cheers

Ken:)

yer should be looking fer no rust and watching for rust.

same as every other car/bus/lorry/moped..make sure everything works and that it int gort too much tinworm.

so long as the chassis is fairly solid thur int much that is expensive to put right on a series.

just check all yer BJ's and bushes along with the engine and drive train fer any weird noises.

oh and check the bulkheid fer rust arnorl

Great stuff!

I've heard from the vendor, asking if I can I want to see it on Sunday.

Now that you've given me some info, I'll feel a bit more confident!
