I have a ford bronco II 89 and i believe the suspension is bad
(disclaimer: i'm not a car person)...for example, i hit a speed bump
and the whole car really sways side to side bad...it sucks. So, i'm
thinking the suspension needs replaced, right?

wouln't this be a good time to get a suspension lift? i'm replacing
the same parts, right?
if i'm right about all of this (???)....how much more would a 3"
suspension lift upgrade cost me over just replacing the suspension i
have with identical parts.

Thanks for your information and education ;-)

You are just describing worn out shocks. A relatively inexpensive fix.

To test them bounce each corner of the vehicle one at a time hard and
let go. Then count the bounces until it stops. Good 'new' shocks will
bounce only once or maybe one and a half times. Dead shocks bounce 3
times or more.

thanks Mike...i was hoping that i could use this as an excuse to raise
the bronco without the wife giving me grief ;-)
oh well...it is good to know that my problem, replacing the shocks,
won't be expensive though. From my reading it looks like lifting the
bronco 2" will cost about $500 (2" lift kit, alignment, and paid man
hours).

scratch that...i just got some feedback from another newsgroup that
lifting a bronco II is just about like comitting suicide
