Hi guys

I'm looking at a Disco 3 for my wife and the MOT on the HSE we're looking at has the following advisories:

Advisory notice item(s)
  • Nearside Rear Anti-roll bar linkage has slight play in a ball joint (2.4.G.2)
  • Nearside Track rod end ball joint has slight play (2.2.B.1f)
  • front lower arm rear bushes slightly soft.
Are these serious issues (sorry, not up on any of this at all!) and what sort of money would I be looking at to sort these?

Cheers

Martin

First two look at the parts prices on ebay etc, house labour each max.
Third one, they are always squishy as they are fluid filled and if not shagged no need to worry.

If you are worried about these minor items then perhaps a LR is not for you especially a D3 as you will have considerably more & bigger problems to fix going forward!

Thanks for your answers! Much appreciated.

Nothing serious then, shall go and take a look and let you know how it goes

We're up for the challenge of owning a Land Rover, certainly not expecting to have an easy ride ;)

Like any car, get a good one and look after it and it will serve you well, get a dog and it will always be a dog no mattter what you spend on it.

If your spending a bit of £££ on buying a Land Rover/Range and you don’t have much of a clue about them ALWAYS take someone with you who knows the vehicle ie a mechanic or friend etc otherwise you will most likely get stung
