seriesIII109

Hi there, I'm new to the whole Land Rover world and I can't claim to know much about the mechanics of these beautiful vehicles. With that said, I purchased a 1982 series III 109 which had been in storage for the last two decades after the previous original owner passed away.

I've had it at two specialist Land Rover garages and proceeded with all recommended work and it now has a fresh MOT and runs beautifully. Both garages said they've never seen a series LR like it and it's as if it's just come of the factory line. It's only done about 25,500 miles since new and it looks amazing.

As I'm saving for a first house and I'll be going to university next year I've decided I'll probably have to sell it. If I had a big barn/ shed I'd probably just keep it in storage for the next 5 years when I can probably afford to run it again but unfortunately I don't.

Any advice on how and where to sell it would be fantastic. Thanks all.

Hi and welcome!

Probably worth getting it valued independently due to its condition and mileage before you sell it. You could use eBay or FB marketplace but these have their own pitfalls and you get a lot of chancers on both. If selling on eBay, set a reserve.

If it is a totally unique Landy, once you’ve had a valuation done, consider selling through the likes of LRO or a classic car magazine where you might get more serious buyers than eBay. Perhaps even a classic car broker.

Don’t forget to put some pics up here, your description of the Landy will have caused some desire to see it.
