Evening,

Just gone though my policy which was only set up on friday (28/03/14)

Your rep appears to of given me normal car insurance, not 4x4 insurance so I'm not covered for green laning,

Ideas ?

Cheers,

Sorted, I am covered for green laning,

Getting a letter stating that I'am so there are no grey areas for them to hide behind,

Just got a quote for my disco - M reg 300tdi - any mods except engine replacement, fully comp, 3000 miles a year, green laning, off roading, commuting, £50 excess. Includes legal expenses - £152.50.

Full uk recovery, including home start, overnite accomodation etc- £47.50.

I reckon thats not bad :)

very reasonable,

Until like forgottenpoppy you get hit !

The price we pay for wanting insurance for green laning

Gonna give them a serious look after AF sent me my request for expressed confirmation letter was blank.

Iv got 1989 110 County defender, last year I insured with AF at a cost of £270 ish for fully comp with green laning and 7k miles per year. it runs out next week so I called today for a renewal quote, increased the mileage per year to 10k as I loved it so much, added diff guards and a wadding kit due to the flooding in my area and the price is now £395. Now iv got to wait and see why the big jump.

Think its time to shop around some more?

pro rate the mileage and you will see they are damn near the same.
your 7k for 270 quid is 38.57 quid per 1,000 miles.

Your new prices is 39.50 quid per 1,000 miles only a .93 quid increase per 1,000 miles.

Don't see a reason to :Cry::lol:
