Hi guys,

Just wanted to put a post up to let you all know that I'll be spending more time on LZ again, last year was absolutely manic for us on the forum/social media front so this year we've dedicated some more time again for LZ and a couple of other of our longstanding club affiliations.

If any of you require any assistance with insurance, be it a new quotation or an issue with an existing policy.. just drop me a PM and I'll be on hand to assist.

I'm also in the process of changing cars & a the moment another Disco is the top of my list so I'll be after some advice from you all soon no doubt :)

Thanks

Jordan

I hope you can help? We had our defender insuranced with Adrian Flux N909WUX. Unfortunately it was stolen on the 9 Jan. We reported it that day but are now still waiting to heard if/when/how much we will be compensated. I've been chasing TCS, who I believe handle your claims, almost every day. It's been back with the underwriters for about 10 days and no come back. The issue appears to be about our definition of parked on a drive and yours. I do hope I don't have to involve the FCA and solicitors. Can you help to speed the claim process? We need to replace our car and it's a real pain.

Yours Neil

Hi Neil,

Thanks for the message, really sorry to hear of the theft :(

I've just sent a message to our claims department and asked that they look into this as a matter of urgency, so they should be in touch shortly.

One thing I would recommend is that you edit your post to remove your telephone number, just for your own safety as it's a public forum.

Kind regards,

Jordan

Be interested to know what the problem with the definition of a drive is, can you elaborate?

Hi,
Can you sort a price for insurance out for me, I'll PM the details , Had a telephone quote from yourselves but thought it was a bit steep to renew this year,
Thanks

update on this, after speaking with AF and the rep here(who didnt do a tap), Ive insured with a company called BRENTACRE,
AF wanted £274 for the year plus agreed value fee of £35,
Brentacre wanted £220 all in including the agreed value fee,
This after being a customer of Flux for quite some time, it makes me wonder if there actually trying to help forum members or just using us as a cash cow!

Our Defender 110 TD5 is insured Agreed Value with AF.
The policy is £433 including the agreed value.
I called today to insure our TD5 90 XS which is the same year, same value, and same drivers.
The quote was £800.
Can you look into this?
I am really happy with AF on our existing Land Rover but twice the price seems a bit bizarre!

Brentacre are great, l used them for my modified Clio 182
But they wouldn’t insure our standard Defender TD5.

definitely no consistency between quotes my house mate gets same car has same driving history yet gets quoted 4 times as much

£430 for my 2005 110 including £50 for agreed value with AF.
That was my best quote, few companies do agreed value on newer Defenders.
