Hello, i'm new to this forum and hope somebody can help!

ABS and traction control lights are staying on. Got a diagnosis of split wiring on abs sensor, so fixed this problem. was ok for a while but now its happening again. BUT occasionally the lights will go out, which causes the brakes to fail and the pedal to judder.

Does this mean i need a new abs sensor or could there be another problem?

I've got an abs problem myself listed on this forum. Been reading up on it a bit after getting the rave download, Very helpful.
Are you sure the judder is not the ABS working properly? Don’t mean to insult your intelligence but there is feedback felt on the break pedal when the abs starts to work.
