Hello all. I’ve been having an issue with my abs for a while now which i believed was down to me replacing the front ball joints and of course removing the abs sensor. But today I got a chance and had a look into it. It says on nanocom that it’s the front left sensor so I took the wheel etc off and cleaned the sensor and put it all back together again but that didn’t cure it. I then tried unplugging the sensor where it comes through the arch at and looked on the nanocom and it said I had unplugged the rear right!!! I then checked the wiring to the slabs ecu and all the wires appeared to be in the right place going by the diagram. So now I’m pretty confused so I hope someone can enlighten me on what to do next! Thanks!

I think these Spanish ABS Senors don't know where they are on the car at all. ;)
Had me really confused! I assume I just need to replace the sensor and it’ll be sorted. Because I’ve cleaned the sensor and used compressed air to clean all the the teeth on the abs ring which are nice and shiny

Have you cracked it now? Is it all working OK?

I don't think so, unfortunately the discussion might have got mixed up there a bit... IMO if the code is for the front left but if you unplug that one and the live reading goes to zero on the rear right the problem is the rear right

It makes no sense to me at all because the 3 amigos turned on as soon as I pulled the discovery out of the shed the day I was done working on it and I only worked on the front end never even touched the rear axel

In this case seems that nanocom has more kind of oddities when it comes to ABS cos i've seen only cases when the code was wrong and the live reading correct but if the guy from down under was right the probem in this case is with the live reading instead of the code, or the SRD000150 ECU which should be on your 2003 modell too has is own glitch in relation with nanocom, would be interesting to double check with a hawkeye or foxwell

The new sensor should be here in a couple of days so will report back if that was the problem or not.

Also my mate used his launch code reader and it read it as front left as well

okay so I’ve replaced the sensor and it didn’t fix it unfortunately. So the voltages for all the sensors are at 2.21 for the rear and 2.23 at the front. The front left isn’t showing wheel speed it just stays at 1.7kmh

swap the two front sensors and see then, or replace the front left if you have a spare

I replaced the front left one with a new one although it was a cheap one but it’s the same issue. Could try swapping but I doubt it’ll change. Unless it is really the rear right that is bad after all who knows!

I've had a disco that had similar. I was using a Chinese Delphi clone but it said front and it ended up a broken wire to a rear. Cant remember the side. I just put it down to Chinese cloning gone wrong :)

The lights were out and it sold and never came back :)

Looks very similar behaviour with the case from down under, can't you find somebody with Hawkeye or Foxwell or some other multivehicle tool which covers the D2? I observed that all the other tools are quite accurate with the ABS, they are not good with the engine or other systems

It’s possible it could be the rear but doesn’t make sense because the abs was working fine until I done the front end up. Here’s the link to the one I got https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/16096857...UL-v7AVQ1C&var=&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY

Yes I’ll have to get my friend till plug in is LAUNCH code reader it does live readings so that will most likely be next week
