Any and advice would be greatly appreciated
Away all week went for a run Sat afternoon after about 2to3 miles ABS light came on and warning on message centre. Stopped car started back up all lights went out and drove home OK
Sun went for a spin same again and could hear pump running
I can start up lights go out as they should do but after a short run ABS warning and light on. Had it on diagnostics and all that is showing for dtc's is pump continuous running, cleared this for ten mins ok then fault back on. With car on drive start up and pump runs continuous, stops when ignition is turned off.
Thinking maybe accumulator or is something else
The car brakes well , done emergency stop, pedal firm, no sign of leaks, fluid level correct
Got mot in 4weeks so need to fix

Check black pump relay contacts are not fused together.

Never thought of that Glad I have you to assist. Will check in morning now as on way to hospital (not me for once but father in law)

Check black pump relay contacts are not fused together.
Just checked relay correct reading across connectors with multi meter showing contacts not closed
Fluid level in reservoir above max line before start up drops to just above min on start up, have topped up to max.
Any other help gratefully appreciated as don't want to knacker the pump with continuous running

If relay is ok can really only be pressure cut off switch on pump.

Can be changed if you can afford one, lots of pennies but used on other cars. Ebay may help but not cheap.
Many thanks Wammers got a guy about 400yds away breaking 3 P38s. Will go and see him.
I really appreciate your help and advice, once again thanks

I think I once found (for another member) that the switch off a Saab 95 was same but you would need to check to be sure.

I'd crack the relay open and check the contacts.
I had my eas pump run constantly at one point and then run fine. I opened the relay and it had been fused at one point. Swapped out..... It won't cost you anything unless it needs replacing and it's cheaper than burning a pump out:cool:;)

Was thinking about that but have picked up complete pump and accumulator from guy up road (in good nick and a runner) for £90. Thinking of changing relay as well

+1 to opening the relay.

Have opened relay, at some time it has been fused. Maybe it sticks when hot as tested ok when cold. This has probably knackered pressure switch. Will fit new one with replacement pump

I'd fit the relay and then see if the pump works. If not replace the switch. It's got to be worth finding the problem rather than changing the gizmos out? What do you think?;)

Personally, I would not attempt to remove the pressure switch from the replacement pump as there is a risk that doing so will knacker it.

I saw and heard it running Ok prior to removal (replacement pump) I would think its as easy to change the lot than mess around, one unit out one in, bleed system and hopefully away we go. My great neighbour who helped with rear bags is doing me front ones this weekend and has volunteered to change pump as well. He's a fantastic guy, works for stella as payment not cash
