Hi all

The Abs Fault & Traction Failure warnings keep coming on intermittently on my 4.6 P38 1999.

Some days i can drive to work and back approx 10 miles and it doesnt come on then other days it comes up with the warnings??.

I have noticed that it seems to flash up mainly when turning right so would this point to a specific problem i.e an Abs sensor??

Would an Abs fault also trigger the Traction Failure warning or is it a seperate issue??

Cheers Glyn

They work of the same ecu, might be worth checking the front wheel bearings and cv joints seam to recall someone having worn ones throwing up faults on the abs tc.

Thanks Brian, i do have a noise from a front wheel bearing but my local indy garage said to leave it until it gets worse, so could it be that causing the problem??

Find a new garage!

A seized wheel bearing can be dangerous, esp. at motorway speeds!
