I've been reading this forum for a few months now so I figured it was probably time I started being sociable and said hello. My knowledge of land rovers is nowhere near what some of you guys have but I'll see what I can do to chip in.

I have a 1979 series 3 long wheel base truck cab with the much desired brush effect NATO green finishing. It's got the 2.6 litre 6 cylinder engine under the bonnet which sounds lovely and averages 17-18 mpg which I'm pretty happy with considering it's not got freewheeling hubs or an overdrive. It's in the garage for it's MOT as I'm typing this, fingers crossed for me!
