Period correct Disco "hinged gate style bike rack" made by Land Rover (pretty unique) for sale. Takes 2 bikes and allows you to swing the bikes out of the way without having to remove them from the rack enabling you then to fully open the rear door. See images below. It is heavy duty and made with 1 1/4 steel tube. The gate "posts" bolt to the bumper and clamp to the rain gutter. I sold my V8 Disco and have moved to Freelander2. I kept the bike rack but I now wish to move it on. It needs minor touch ups / bit of tlc. Anyone interested? Location Hampshire/Surrey border UK

Apologies to all. I have now found for sale page but as a newbee I don't have sufficient privileges to post at this time. Heyho.

Previously owned a Disco now onto my second Freelander. Seems I have become a Landy fan but new to this group.

Ive not seen one of them for years, I looked for ages to find one. My disco has a roll cage doubt it would fit.
Rare bit of kit. :)

Welcome to lz pal.

Thanks for the welcome. It would fit if your roll cage is all internal. If it is not then you must be a hardcore off-roader indeed..

Sales are off limits to new members for obvious reasons. Hang around, join in, help who you can and you’ll soon get the ability. It is nice mind
