Had an eventful evening this evening, came off the A41 at hemel and noticed a Vauxhall Combo van with two wheels up on the side reservation.
After speaking to the bloke who had luckily come off without injury it had turned out that a deer had run out on him across the a41 whilst he was at around 70mph, trying to swerve whilst braking he had hit the side armco and mounted it on two wheels before sliding along it about 100yds, wiping out a large sign in the process.
Car debris all over the road, engine twisted from its mounts, exhaust somewhere hanging off the side. Lucky man. His gear lever was where the handbrake used to be.
Pulled my 109 onto the grass verge to see whether I could tow the van off the reservation, I didn't bother as it would of rolled onto the slip road.
Traffic cops turned up and shut the A41 for about 15mins whilst debris, oil and diesel were cleared from the carriageway.
His mate turned up to help in his disco 1, I know hes on here somewhere but don't know his user ID.
Anyhow thought I'd just let you guys know
