Hi all I am new but I am also knew at the Series LR thing too. My problem is a follows. I took at the fuel tank to install and new one and now the speedo and the fuel gauge are inoperable. Now my other problem. The LR works when I turn the key but as soon as I let go of the key it shuts off. If any one has any information about these problems then please let me know, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank to All!

There is an earth connector on the top of the tank if I remember correctly. Take your seat base out and see if it and the sender is connected.

If it was running before you took the old tank out it sounds like you may have disturbed an earthing connection. As for the speedo I can't say as on mine (series 2) the speedo cable runs on the passenger side of the gearbox so I doubt that it's been interrupted.
