Morning ... ok here's the problem ;
yesterday on leaving work i started the car fine i stoped for a short while and the car wouldn't start, so left it for about two hours it started the after another two hours it wouldn't start again but this morning no problems!!!
the car sort of fires up but doesn't quite get there !!
any suggestions !!

is it petrol or diesal???

petrol, check the dissy cap and leads coil etc. for cracks looseness etc

diesals sorry no nowt about....
 
is there a feed to the fuel cutoff valve on the top of the thottle. should be 12+v when running and check all the fuses

like i said i know nowt about diesals

wot you could have is this.......
**** in tank gets picked up and blocks pickup pipe, injun stops.
after a while it falls orf and yer injun will start only to pick up the crap again and blocking the pickup. and so the cycle goes on. course it might be summin else aswell
 
Sales manager here at work had similar problem during the hotspell last July. Ended up having it in the stealership for 3 days while it was rewired under warranty.

Took great delight dropping him of at Guy Salmon in my V8 on the hottest day of the year with no aircon ;)
 
its a td4 on a 52 plate
reet archinal git a helper to switch on ignition only [i know its a doozle] with bonnet open yer lift pump un filter un heater are on the rhs near the wheel arch ,put yer hand on it and it should vibrate fer bout 12sec then stop if it dunt then check fuel pmp fuse if that is ok change fuel pmp relay fer er nuffer like fer like, if that dunt git it workin then next step is to change ya fuel filter, if after that then its possible its yer rear bit playin up [let us know] oh if it times out ok then look to ya cam sensor. . . .best oh luck earthling. . .:)
