I want to meet a friend and family somewhere North east of Southampton as this would be between our locations.
A forest car park where we can meet up, have a picnic and take the dogs for a walk.
A bonus would be able to take the Land Rover on a simple forest drive also.

Does anyone have any suggestions?

How far do you want to go? The Devil's Punchbowl on the A3 after Hindhead fits your description well.

Seems to be a lot of Greenlaning there, but all the videos I've seen are extreme!

I've only driven through on the A3 (and it does have a great view) and walked through some of it before I became a LR owner, but one of the magazines covered a drive through. As I recall it, the byway that they drove was divided by the (old route of) the A3. I can't see how it can avoid being through trees for most of its length.

If you do it, could you come back and let us know? Might pop down when mine's back on the road.
