Hi All.
Haven't been on here for a while but as of yesterday I'm the proud owner of a 1991 Vogue SE in Plymouth Blue. All the rusty bits have been done and the engine/gear box appears to be in great condition. 102000 miles. All the electrics work with the exception of the sunroof which doesn't. The motor has been disconnected and when you connect it the motor powers up continuously whether you press the button or not and nothing moves. What could cause this? bad earth, wrong connection somewhere?? etc etc. Or do I just need a new motor.
Also the wheels have been painted black but I think I'm right in saying they should be body colour?!

Any help would be much appreciated. Many thanks in advance. Ooh also are there any UK classic only forums. Have found a couple of Non UK but nothing UK specific Nothing wrong with LZ obviously because it has been very helpful in the past.

Regards
John

You are right about the wheels, they were colour coded on SE models with stainless covers on the nuts, whereas the Vogue had grey regardless of the car's paint job & plain nuts. I would have thought that if the SR motor powers up it would be serviceable, though it obviously shouldn't run without the switch being used. My Vogue has a SR but I've never had the occasion to do any more than service the runners & blow though the drains - sorry I can't be more help.
