Never heard of it myself, but it's a Santana, so maybe they built them and Land Rover in the UK didn't?
 
Did they sell many? Looks like a waste of effort really , not particularly lightweight and no different from the regular model in terms of cumbersomness (possibly made up word).........
 
I think that they were designed to be simple and rugged rather than light.

The UK built Lightweight was never actually called that by LR or our military, they all knew it as the Air Portable. The main reason for it's difference was the need to fit them two abreast into a Bristol aircraft (Beverley I think). Unbolting all the upper panels made it possible to stack two onto a pallet.
