Hi All.Been registered quite a while,not introduced myself for some reason...
So here goes: I'm from near Sandy,Bedfordshire,(very middle aged lol),over the last 6 years or so I've had three or four 300 tdi Discoverys,all budget priced but been very happy with all of them.Dragged loaded Artics out of my yard with them in the snow/vans out of ditches/generally abused them as a my daily driver.Never had any real issues tbh,only sell them as I get bored with 4 wheelers,I'm more into bikes.
Anyway,just bought a very clean bronze colour 99 TD5,(low budget ebay buy),complete with wet dog stench and heavy notchy steering..easily fixed with a swift read of this forum,a dozen squirts of duck oil and a long reach jack.The stiff column U/Js that got the price down cost now't to sort out,thanks to you fellers on here.And after reading the relevant posts,I've bought the relevant bits to retro-fit cruise control...good old ebay!
