Hi ALL
All was good until today..
Went out this am to start the ROVER and the Key phob wasn't working press the buttons nothing happens, go get the other set of keys still nothing??

This is a UK spec in UK model..

When I opened the door the alarm went off for around 1min then went off..

Put the key in the ignition turn it over I hear a loud warning beep noise and the message pops up

" ENGINE DISABLED PRESS REMOTE "

I pressed the buttons nothing
" I know there is good battery's in the remotes"

I attempted to re-program the key phob as I have done in the past after battery replacements by pressing the lock button, Putting the key in the drivers door turning to the right for 10 secs then removing the key and Finlay releasing the lock button..

Still no luck !!

Now when I lock the drivers boor manually I hear the rear door locks locking, the siren Chirps the red security light in the centre of the dash flashes very fast for about 5 secs then go's to a normal pulse but when I check later it's gone out..

I don't have the emergency key access code at the moment so the manual code entry is a no go at the moment..

Any idea's whats going on??

Cheers

If you get a chirp when you lock the door then the alarm is reporting an error, sounds as though it thinks a door is not shut. You will need the EKA if you cannot get any of the remotes to work, main problems with the P38 alarm is the sensor on the passenger pillar, however, I dont recall this stopping you from using the remotes. If you unlock the drivers door manually does the alarm go off? Have you checked all doors, tailgate and bonnet are firmly closed? You should be able to get the EKA from any Land Rover dealer, take your log book and proof of ID as they should ask to see this.
