Hey, guys. I have a pretty serious vibration in my jeep when i am
between 55 and 65 mph. When it first started happening, i got a tire
rotation and balance, and that took care of the problem. Six months
later, the vibration started again, rather small this time, but i
still got another rotation and balance, and now the vibration is
really bad. What could this be from?

A defective tire? I once had a car vibrate like crazy with a blister/bubble
in the tread. Also make sure the wheels and mounts aren't warped. A wheel
may not be seating properly in one position?

Thanks for the tip. Any other thoughts? Why would it only be in that
speed? It stops once you get past 65mph...

That is usually about the speed where the tires go from being compressed
on the road to getting rounder from centripetal force. If there is any
defect in the tire, that is the point where it usually shows up.

By moving the bad tire to the back, you got some more life out of it
before it became bad back there too. Now up front again, it is really
telling you it's dead.

If it was just a matter of throwing a weight or a bent rim, then
balancing would have fixed it and it wouldn't be getting worse.

I'll bet if you jack up each front corner and spin the tire, you will
see one with a high spot.
