does the bmw engine in my 1996 the same as a 2000 diesel model pls

Yes they both should have a engine code of 256T

prob just software versions

the defender and discovery have a few different maps but it is only software revisions that are diff

ah right , so would a newer map from a 2001 run in a 1996 , dont think its much differance anyway

yes i would say the newer map will run ok
