Hello team - bit of a long one, this, but really hoping somebody can help before I do my absolute nut and or pointlessly rip apart the car.

Pretty sure I have a bad earth problem - it manifests itself as follows:

Headlights flicker and pulse - not dramatically, but enough. When I flash or go from dip to main beam more often than not, the stereo and the speedo drop out momentarily. This problem is worse when the spoiler driving lamps are on (mine come on with main beam).

The heater fan falters (speed goes up and down) in tandem with the headlights pulsing - you can hear it doing it with the lights off driving along, too, but when the lights are on you get a visual cue too.

Pulsing lights and heater seem to worsen when the brake pedal is applied.

The radio will cut out then in when just driving along. This seems to be worse when cold and almost guaranteed to happen if I hit a pot hole - again the heater will flutter at the same time.

It's had a new battery and a new (2 actually) alternator but, perhaps key, complete front inner wing rebuild including new lights (both headlight and spoiler). The rebuild went all the way back into the footwells and the A-Posts at the bulkhead.

Given the issue is on the radio, the lights, the heater and the speedo, I'm guessing it's a pretty big earth I'm missing somewhere. Before I play detective can anybody shed light on the following:

Does this sound like an earth issue, or am I barking up the wrong tree and if it is earths, where are the main earth points on a '95 RRC 300tdi?!

I know the little buggers are everywhere so any help on locations hugely appreciated!

Alternatively, if it isn't earths, what on earth (no pun intended) am I looking at.

Thanks to all

Sounds earth related...check engine earth straps.!!

RAVE will cover the 95 models and should show the Earth stub locations....
