You either love it or hate it. As it’s on a 90s disco, I love it.
I’m assuming it’s just wrap? I can’t find good quality wrap to use and want to do window switch surround, door trims and the dash bit.
I tried some from ebay - crap quality and doesn’t compare to 3m.
I’ve seen full set of trim for sale for an expensive price but even that’s damaged.
I’ve used 3M di noc before but can’t find that 90s shade that the discos and bm’s had.
I want it to look like factory fit.
This is the kind of shade!

Anyone done similar?

Its wood veneer , there are companys out there that sell panels if you fancy making your own. :)

Take a piece of n have a look at it, if its not veneer & been done after market it will be done with hydro dipping
& lacquered.
That’s Kev - it was more the set I was after that I wanted to ensure was veneer and I could re-clear coat. It looks like it is so I’ve gone with it. I’ll have to cut the seat switch holes in but I’ll just go careful with dremel. Plan to strip the clear coat on it all then re-clear. Want to get it the Landy up to a real premium spec and that walnut is the icing on the cake

Get some pics up I did look at fitting the trim in mine but couldnt find a full set at the time I do miss my disco.

This is the set I bought mate. Has a small amount of damage that the chap has described, mainly just to clear coat hence me wanting to see if they’re repairable! It’s been on my eBay search for a while.
I can’t find much brochure info or pictures of optional extras. I.e. what you could spec your motor to.
Sad but I desperately wanted the gear knob insert.
Pretty sure not all of them are equal either. Some of the ones across the pond seem to have a brighter wood which isn’t classy.
I’ll have to carefully dremmel the heated seat holes into the switch surround.

They look nice ive looked at glossy walnut wrap which looks like it would match, what happened to the switch surround
if it was sanded & sprayed with clear coat just wondering if it would match the darker parts. Ive had parts hydro dipped
in the past on my m3 with black carbon it looked amazing when the came back.

That’s my thinking mate. I reckon it’s where the sun has hit that clear coat more than the others

I went down a rabbit hole with my walnut tastes yest. I really want an e38 750il. Always thought they were gorgeous. Bloody love a luxobarge.

My BMW has wood trim, not every ones taste, but I like it.
I was looking for wood trim for my D1, but not found anything.
Think I'll stick with the original now though

Trying to work out if Marty Wilde had one, or the previous model, it was bright red, saw it being filled up by a car delivery driver, whose cousin was in England rugby squad at the time.

Just checked E32, as it was pre move to Worcester.
